Abhimanyudu Collections: Abhimanyudu, techno-thriller action film, starring Vishal, Arjun and Samantha Akkineni, which was released on 1st June 2018, is running successfully at the box office. Abhimanyudu is the dubbed version of Tamil hit movie Irumbu Thirai. The movie is helmed by PS Mithran and bankrolled by Vishal under the banner of Vishal Film Factory. According to the traders report, Abhimanyudu has collected Rs 8 Cr shares at the box office of both Telugu states – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, after the successful run of 18 Days.

Vishal’s Abhimanyudu clashed with Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial venture Officer starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Myra Sareen, and romantic and comedy entertainer Raju Gadu starring young actor Raj Tarun and Amyra Dastur on its opening day at the box office. Both Officer and Raju Gadu received negative response by the movie lovers and critics on its opening day and turned out commercially flop at the box office.
Vishal starrer Abhimanyudu is all about data hacking and the leak of information, how in the days of interconnections, the privacy of a person doesn’t hold power, as anyone can be hacked and their personal information can be stolen from them. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music of Abhimanyudu whereas George C. handled the cinematography.
Meanwhile, Vishal, who is basking in the success of Abhimanyudu, is busy in his upcoming movie Sandakozhi 2 , being directed by N. Linguswamy, in which Mahanati fame Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead. On the otherside, Samantha Akkineni is waiting for the release of Seema Raja and Super Duplex.
