In upcoming trilingual biopic Mahanati, based on the life of legendary southern actress Savitri, Baahubali and Arundhati actress Anushka Shetty who is currently basking in the glory of her recently released movie ‘Bhaagamathie, is going to reprise the role of Bhanumathi.
Bhanumathi is one of the popular actress at the time of Savitri and she shares a good bonding with Savitri. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, the makers are planning to rope Anushka for Bhanumathi role. The talk has been initiated but nothing is yet finalized. If Anushka gives nod, she will also be the part of this upcoming directorial venture of Nag Ashwin in which Keerthy Suresh is playing the titular role whereas Samantha Akkineni will be seen playing journalist. Apart from them the film has other stars like Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Vijay Devarakonda, Dulquer Salman, Shalini Pandey, Vikram Prabhu and others in supporting role.
The film is being bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies banner and Mickey J Mayer is composing the music. Mahanati is expected to hit the theaters in the last week of March in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
