After delivering Nela Ticket, now Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has come up with Amar Akbar Anthony, which is directed by Srinu Vaitla and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Goa beauty Ileana D’ Cruz is also making her comeback after a long gap in Telugu Film Industry with Ravi Teja’s film, which has hit the theaters today on 16th November 2018. The promotional material has received decent response by the movie lovers and Ravi Teja’s fans. Let’s see the story line of Amar Akbar Anthony:
Story: Amar Akbar Anthony starts in New York. Amar (Ravi Teja)’s father and his close friend Aishwarya (Ileana D’Cruz)’s father are business partners and they own a big pharma firm in US. They offer a small share to 4 employees. They kill the families of Amar and Aishwarya, and take over their company. The only survivors of this tragedy are Amar and Aishwarya, the story takes a serious turn from here. The grown up Amar and Aishwarya try to take revenge on the culprits. However, both have dissociative identity disorder. They are suffering from this disorder assume different personalities and behave accordingly. How will they take the revenge? Who are Akbar and Anthony? To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

Performance: Ravi Teja looks energetic as he was in his past movies. His action, comic timing, body languages,and facial expressions are appreciable. Chandrahaas Marisela, (the son of Surendra and Lakshmi Mariserla) and Sloka Gorty (daughter of Sri Ganesh Gorty and Laya Gorty) in the role of Childhood Ravi Teja and Ileana, have given their fantastic performance. Ileana D’Cruz looks good in her role and performs really very well. Sunil, Vikramjit, Srinivas Reddy, Tanikella Bharani, Satya, Abhimanyu Singh, Vennala Kishore, Ravi Prakash, Tarun Arora, Aditya Menon, Raghu Babu, Jayaprakash Reddy, have given their best.
Technical: The Special mention should go to the action sequences which have been composed well and also look stylish in Amar Akbar Anthony. S Thaman’s music is decent but his background score is very impressive. The dialogues are noteworthy. Camerawork is pretty impressive. The production values of Mythri Movie Makers are good. Coming to the director Srinu Vaitla, he has done a good job and especially with Ravi Teja’s character. Editing by MR Varma is fine.
Analysis: Overall Amar Akbar Anthony is good mass masala entertainer drama. Plus points of the film are Ravi Teja’s characterization, Child artists Chandrahaas Marisela and Sloka Gorty, action episode and entertainment. On the flipside, the story is routine. The director Srinu Vaitla has proved that he can come up with interesting plots, but he should concentrate more on the story line.
