Rangasthalam starring Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni which was released on 30th March, is going great guns at the box office. Ram Charan’s performance as a hearing impaired person received lot of applause. One of the first things on everyone’s mind after they finish watching ‘Rangasthalam’ is, Anasuya Bharadwaj is doing a really good job at picking roles, be it ACP Jaya in ‘Kshanam’ or now, Rangammatta in this village based drama.

In Rangasthalam, Anasuya looked beautiful in her role of Rangammatta – a woman who’s the village beauty. Jabardasth anchor Anasuya has been highly praised for her Rangammatha character, which is the main pillar to the movie. Recently during the media interaction, the actress said, “When I heard the story of Rangasthalam, I did not know that Ram Charan is playing the lead role. After knowning about his role in the movie I requested Sukumar to change my name to Ragamma from Rangammatha as I felt weird when Cherry addressed me as ‘Atha’”. She further said, “After watching the movie, everyone praised my character in the movie including my husband. He said that Rangammatha will remain as one of the best roles in my career. This is the best compliment I ever received in my life.”
