Arjun Reddy, the blockbuster Telugu movie in which Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey played the lead role, is going to be remade in Hindi, in which Shahid Kapoor will play the lead role. Padmaavat star Shahid Kapoor, who was recently in the news headlines for the birth of his son Zain, has come back to work. While he has films like Arjun Reddy and a biopic on boxer Dingko Singh in his kitty, the young actor has taken time out to feature in a music video called Urvashi. Shahid Kapoor has formally introduced Arjun Reddy to his fans with a clip of a remake of ‘90s AR Rahman hit, Urvashi. Sharing it, the actor wrote: “Take it easy, #Urvashi.”
Shahid Kapoor wrote on his Twitter, “Take it easy #Urvashi @Advani_Kiara @asliyoyo @itsBhushanKumar @directorgifty @TSeries @Hungama_com.”
The music video, which is being presented by Bhushan Kumar of T Series, has been crooned by Yo Yo Honey Singh and is a modern rendition of AR Rahman’s 1990’s hit song, Urvashi. It will feature Bharat Ane Nenu girl Kiara Advani too.
Just after the poster was shared by Shahid Kapoor, it took social media by storm and fans could not stop complimenting their pair.The poster has garnered almost 206, 973 likes and countless comments. Choreographed by Sanjay Shetty and directed by Gifty, the song is expected to break several records.
Shahid Kapoor’s Arjun Reddy remake will have a chartbuster of the era ruled by music maestro AR Rahman. Recently in an interview Shahid Kapoor opened up about Arjun Reddy remake and said , “ I usually don`t watch movies in Telugu but Arjun Reddy surprised me with its tonality, rawness and simplicity . I loved it and Vijay Devarakonda, who essayed the role of Arjun Reddy and he did it so well.”
Sandeep Reddy Ranga is going to helm Shahid Kapoor’s Arjun Reddy remake. Incidentally, the Tamil remake will feature Chiyaan Vikram’s son, Dhruv, which is titled as Varma.
