Rate:3/5

After delivering successful movie ‘SVSC’, Once again Super star Mahesh  Babu teamed up with Srikanth Addala for the upcoming family entertainer drama “Brahmotsavam”.  It is family oriented movie loaded with moral values and traditions. Mahesh Babu is sharing the screen space with three actresses Samantha, Parintha and Kajal Aggarwal. The music department is handled by two persons Mickey J Meyer who composed the songs whereas Mani Sharma scored the background music. Sirivennela wrote 6 songs and one song which has two paragraph of Madhurashtakam. Yesterday makers have launched the audio in a very grand manner.

1.Vachindi Kada  Avakasam
Singer : Abhay Jodhpurkar
Lyrics :Srinivennela Seetharama Sastry

It is the first song of the album which has been released few months back and became popular with single release. The lyric of Srinivennela Seetharama Sastry is very impressive and Abhay Jodhpurkar crooned the song with his full energy. The song introduced guitar to push the tempo up.

2. Madhuram Madhuram
Singers : Padma and Sridevi

Lyrics :Srinivennela Seetharama Sastry

It is the shortest song of the album and  adaptation of ‘Madhurashatakam’. The run time of the song is only 2.14 mins. It is upgraded version of traditional Madhurashtakam which is sung in the praise of Lord Krishna. Mickey J Mayer tries to introduce hip hop beats to give the freshness.  The fusion is superb. Padama and Sridevi have sung with song with ease.

3. Brahmotsavam
Singer : Sri Rama Chandra
Lyrics : Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry

It is the title track of the album, which has all the ingredients of energy and melody and sung by power packed Sreeram Chandra. Once again the lyrics of Sirivennela Seetharama strike gold as he explained the meaning of Brahmotsavam in the term of movie. The song has blend of computerized sounds and techno beat instrumentation that changes the mood of audiences. Use of different bass piano and interludes elevated the moods that depend on the listeners choice as the song is composed with high pitch and it lost its pleasantness. It might be good on the screen because of its stunning visuals.

4. Aata Paatalaadu
Singer : Karthik
Lyrics : Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry

Karthik has done good job who sung this song with all easiness. The lyrics of this song is superb. Once again Sirivennela  used some excellent words. The song travels from low pitch to resounding pitch.   The tune is quite catchy.

5. Naidorintikada
Singers: Anjana Soumya and Ramya Behara

Lyrics : Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry

It is only one song of the album which is without a computerized rhythm. It is a traditional folk song and the singers Anjana Soumya and Ramya Behara gave a peppy treatment. This song reminds the song “Jagadeeka Veera lera” from Kerintha. This song hunts the audiences to listen it again and again.

6. Bala Tripuramani
Singer : Rahul Nambiar
Lyrics : Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry

The song has contemporary western beat that delights youth. By using tribal beats in a very different and catchy style makes this song special number. The song increases the pitches as the song progresses. The chorus and beats are repeatedly used throughout the songs that made it differently. The song gives mixed feeling. The lyrics by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry are pleasing.

7. Put Your Hands up
Singers: Sravana Bhargavi , Mickey.J.Mayer
Lyrics : Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry

It is an average song that comes in end titles.  ‘Put Your Hands up’ , any one can imagine that what will happen on the dance floor but coming to this song, ‘Put Your Hands up’ is catchy and haunting. Sravana Bhargavi sang this song beautifully. The name of Mickey J Meyer is there but not heard distinctively. The composition manages to give a contemporary touch to this album.

Analysis:   Brahmotsavam  is  a decent album.  Micky J Meyer has got golden opportunity with back to back album releasing. But he lost the chance to utilize it in proper way. Since it is a family entertainer movie, Mahesh Babu will take care of the movie, independent of the music. Overall it is a good job.
