Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer forthcoming bilingual movie “Oopiri”, the remake of French comedy movie ‘The Intouchables’, directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Nag is playing the role of paraplegic millionaire and Karthi is his assistant whereas Tamannah is his secretary. The full album is releasing today on 1st March. 1. Baby Aagodhu
Singer: Shankar Mahadevan
Shankar Mahadevan has rendered the song which is the first song on the album, even though this song does not give the scope to really excel but he has delivered his best. Gopi Sunder added the energy to this song with high pitch instruments. The lyric is penned by Sirivennela is pleasing with simple lines that are easy on ears.
2. Oka Life
Lyrics by Sirivennela bring good expressions. Music director Gopi Sunder’s tune is quite catchy. Impressively sung by Karthik, the song is a winner from the word go. There is magic in his voice. Worth listening. Lyrics are good especially 'Cheekati rangulese Kalalu'. The song depicts the theme of the movie.
3. Ayyo Ayyo
Singer: Ranjith, Suchitra
Lyrics: Rama Jogayya Sastry
Gopi Sundar’s music is splendid when Ranjith and Suchitra crooned the song. Lyrics are very well written by Rama Jogayya Sastry. The tune has the right feel to it and the interludes keep the music lovers glued.
Singer: Vijay Prakash
Nuvvemicchavo song starts off with beautiful sound that gives a fresh sound. The way by which philosophy is expressed in these lyrics sounds so lovely. Vijay Prakah has sung this song with ease.
It is the situational song in the movie which is crooned by Haricharan. The whole arrangement of song is interesting. However the instruments of Gopi Sunder dominated on the lyrics and vocals at few places. The lyrics by Sirivennela are pleasing.
6. Door Number
Singer: Geetha Madhuri
Lyrics: Rama Jogayya Sastry
Geetha Madhuri is an active singer who crooned the song that are full of joy and zest. It is the item song of the movie. Lyrics are good. Gopi Sunder maintained tempo throughout in order to make it good for dancing. The song is both enjoyable and listening with good lyrics. No doubt that this item song will be the feast to movie lovers in theatres.
It is the last song of the album. Karthik renders the song perfectly. The background music, Sirivennela’s lyrics make this song pretty interesting as long as the track is playing. Gopi Sundar’s instruments work well.
Verdict: There are seven songs in the album and correlated to the happening in the movie. It is decent album. Overall, it is a good job.
