“Balakrishna has agreed to campaign for Anand Prasad in his constituency some time before the elections,” say sources. Anand Prasad, who is better known as Bhavya Prasad is the only Tollywood personality to officially get a ticket in the upcoming Telangana elections.
Anand Prasad is very close to actor turned politician Nandamuri Balakrishna and both shares the god rapports. Anand Prasad will be contesting from the Serilingampally assembly constituency.
Anand Prasad has got ticket from TDP (Telugu Desam Party). His name has been announced as candidate for Serilingampally constituency. Serilingampally is one of the constituencies in Hyderabad where the settlers dominate. Around 1.25 lakh Voters in this segment belong to the Kamma Community.
Telangana Assembly elections will be held on 7th December 2018 and the counting will take place on 11th December.
While ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government has already completed first round of campaigning, the parties of grand alliance (TDP, Congress, TJS) have announced their candidates now.
Anand Prasad is into real estate business and has produced few Telugu movies ‘Loukyam’ and ‘Paisa Vasool’ under the banner of Bhavya Creations. Anand Prasad and Balakrishna have worked together for Paisa Vasool, which was helmed by Puri Jagannadh.
The sources say that Balakrishna recommended the name of Anand Prasad and he is ready to campaign for his close friend. From BJP (Bharitya Janatha Party) actor Babu Mohan and actress Reshma Rathod have been fielded in Andhol and Wyra constituencies respectively.
Another Tollywood film maker Bandla Ganesh is still vying for a ticket. It is known news that recently he joined the Congress recently and now the film maker is expecting a ticket.
On the workside, Balakrishna is currently busy in his upcoming project- NTR biopic, in which he is playing the role of his father- Sr NTR. Apart from acting in NTR biopic, Balayya is also co-producing the biopic.
