It is known news that Samantha Akkineni is currently busy in the remake of Kannada film U Turn. The regular shoot of the film has been already started a few week back in the interiors of Andhra Pradesh. It is a paranormal thriller about the mystery behind the death of motorists who die after breaking traffic rules on a particular flyover in Bengaluru.
In January 2017, Samantha watched the film in a special screening in Bengaluru and immediately gave her nod. At one point, it was rumoured that she was willing to produce the remake.
According to the latest update, actress Bhumika Chawla who made her comeback in Telugu Film Industry with recently release movie MCA aka Middle Class Abbayi starring Nani and Premam & Fidaa fame Sai Pallavi, has been roped in U Turn remake to play the crucial role. The film is being helmed by Pawn Kalyan. The project also stars Aadhi Pinisetty and Rahul Ravindran.
Besides this movie, Samantha also has ‘Rangasthalam’ and ‘Mahanati’ in her kitty. ‘Rangasthalam’ is a romantic-drama directed by Sukumar in which Ram Charan is playing the lead role. On the other hand, ‘Mahanati’ is based on the life of actress Savitri.
Bhumika Chawla will also be seen in Naga Chaitanya and R Madhavan’s Savyasachi, in which Nidhi Agerwal is playing the female lead.
