Bhumika Chawla to play YSR daughter Sharmila in YatraBhumika Chawla made her comeback with Natural Star Nani starrer Middle Class Abbayi aka MCA in which Premam and Fidaa fame Sai Pallavi played the female lead. Bhumika Chawla  played the role of Nani’s sister -in-law. Now according to the latest update, Bhumika Chawla  has been roped in an upcoming  movie Yatra- the biopic of  late politician and  Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.   The sources say that Bhumika Chawla will be seen essaying the role of YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s daughter  YS Sharmila. During the times of Yatra in 2003, both YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sharmila played some crucial roles of taking care of their father.  The same episodes will be showed in the biopic.

Several big stars including Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mammootty were approached to essay the lead role. Finally, Mammootty consented to essay the role of former Chief Minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy upon hearing the narration given by the filmmaker. Mammootty will be seen essaying the role of   YSR in Yatra and Anando Brahma fame Mahi V Raghav will be directing the movie. Yatra will be  bankrolled by 70 MM Entertainments’ Vijay Chilla and Sashi Devreddy.

 Posani  Murali Krishna is playing YSR’s personal assistant Sureedu, whereas  Baahubali fame Ashrita Vemuganti is on the  board to play the role of  YS Vijayamma. Mammootty will be starring in a straight Telugu film after 25 years, his last movie in Tollywood was Swathi Kiranam, directed by K Vishwanath in 1992.

 On the otherside, Bhumika Chawla  will be soon seen in Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming action and romantic entertainer , ‘Savyasaachi’ Where  Bhumika Chawla  played a cameo.

Bhumika Chawla  is also busy in Bollywood, and will be seen in Khamoshi , which is in post production stage.  On the otherside, Bhumika Chawla  is  playing an important role in  Samantha Akkineni starrer U Turn remake, which is being made in Telugu and Tamil.
