Chiranjeevi has collaborated with Harry Potter stuntman Greg Powell for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
British action-director Greg Powell who has done the stunts for Fast & Furious 6, the last James Bond film Skyfall, Hercules, Band of Brother, several Harry Potter films and Salman Khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, in on the board to choreograph the action sequence for the upcoming big budget project Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, in which Megastar Chiranjeevi will be seen essaying the role of freedom fighter. Greg Powell has also worked with top stars like Tom Cruise.
Currently Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is progressing at brisk pace in the direction of Gabbar Singh fame Surender Reddy and being bankrolled by Ram Charan. Brahmaji has confirmed the news of Greg Powell involvement in Chiranjeevi’s film Sye Raa as he posted a picture of the stunt coordinator on his social media and wrote, “#syeraa #syeramoment #actionbegins #gregpowel #suri” (sic). Greg Powell was also nominated for an Emmy Award for his work on Band of Brothers.
As Megastar Chiranjeevi is essaying freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the movie will have lot of fights. Chiranjeevi will be seen doing sword fighting. The upcoming periodic drama Sya Raa marks 151st film of Chiranjeevi. Greg Powell is currently working on the crucial action sequences of the film. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is playing cameo but his role is very powerful in Sye Raa.
Apart from Chiranjeevi and Big B, multilingual movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has other stars like Vijay Sethupathi, Nayantara, Tamannah Bhatia, Jagapathi Babu and others in supporting role. The maker are planning to release Sye Raa in 2019 in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
The screenplay for Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has been penned by the director himself. Rathnavelu is the DOP for this periodic drama whereas double Oscar award music director AR Rahman is rendering the tune.
