Biggest Disaster of the Year: Krishna Vamsi’s Nakshatram

National award winning film maker Pasupuleti Krishna Vamsi’s latest film, ‘Nakshatram’  starring Sundeep Kishan, Sai Dharam Tej, Pragya Jaiswal , Regina Cassandra, Shriya Saran, Prakash Raju, Tanish, Sivaji Raja, J. D. Chakravarthy, Brahmaji and others, has completed its full run at the box-office and finally turned out disaster at the box office. After Ram Charan’s Govindudu Andarivadele, once again Krishna Vamsi disappointed everyone with his last outing Nakshatram. The film failed so terribly that the creative genius was trolled heavily for the way he shot the film in an outdated manner.

Films like Varun Tej’s Mister and Nagrjuna’s Om Namo Venkatasaya left the buyers in shatters this year. Now there is a bigger disaster than these movies is Krishna Vamsi’s Nakshatram. The cop drama ended up as one of the biggest disaster in the history of Telugu Cinema in the terms of investments.  The film is so worst that no one is interested in bagging the satellite and digital rights of the film in spite of notable star cast. Nakshatram was stalled mid way when the producer ran out of finances, so  Krishna Vamsi decided to  invest his own money and as there was no any taker, they released the film on their own risk. The film  did not even manage to recover the budget of the film and was a complete washout in the Overseas. Nakshtram is jointly produced by K. Srinivasulu, S. Venugopal, Sajju under the banner of Sri Chakra Media, Butta Bomma Creations, Win Win Win Creations and it has the music by Bheems Ceciroleo and Mani Sharma. The producers have reportedly spent around Rs. 25 Cr on the film and it has managed to collect a disastrous Rs. 4 Cr share from its theatricals.
