The movie lovers and Vijay Deverakonda’s fans are eagerly waiting for the movie as it is coming after his block buster hit Arjun Reddy. The expectations are very high and the actor is also pinning lot of hopes. Geetha Govindam is going to be released on 15th August 2018, on the eve of Independence day. According to the latest update, Prasuram’s directorial venture Geetha Govindam has already crossed the Rs 15 Cr pre release business, recovering the budgets and will gain much more through satellite rights. According to Filmi trade analysts report, Geetha Govindam will do good business in terms of collections.

It is known news that recently the few scenes from Geetha Govindam were leaked on You Tube. As soon as Geeta Arts received a tip-off, the makers of Geetha Govindam managed to remove the videos as soon as possible. They also filed a complaint to the cyber police. Finally a film editor and about 17 students from Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Guntur, were arrested. This is not the first time that Telugu film Industry is seeing movies getting leaked. Other films which went through similar situations include, ‘Maghadeera’, ‘Shankar Dada MBBS’, and ‘Baahubali’.
Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in Geetha Govindam and it is bankrolled by Bunny Vas under the banner of GA 2 Pictures whereas the film has the music by Gopi Sundar.
