Stylish star Allu Arjun’s action and romantic-comedy entertainer “DJ aka Duvvada Jagannadham" has been running at the theaters with so much difficulty.
On the other-side, Natural star Nani’s Ninnu Kori, which was released on 7th July, opened up with positive talk and DJ punch fell flat. Number of theaters that screened DJ have been replaced with Ninnu Kori and other new films.
Now, overseas is turning out to be bigger shame for Bunny. Apart from India, the USA distributor of DJ is also incurring losses and the movie has ended up with just $1.1 million. DJ was bought for Rs 9 Cr overseas and the losses are around 50 percent. Now Nani's film washed out the DJ from overseas cinemas and totally occupied. Ninnu Kori has finally joined the club of 1 Million marks (Thu $159,564, Fri $222,517, Sat $273,419, Sun $143,699, Mon $34,084, Tue $105,663, Wed $26,090, Thu $16,658, Fri $36,563:Total Gross : 1,019,213) in just 8 days. Nani’s Ninnu Kori has achieved this feat in lesser time than much hyped Bunny's DJ.
According to the sources, DJ producer Dil Raju has agreed to compensate the film’s overseas distributor, BlueSky Cinemas by giving him the overseas rights of his next upcoming film, Nani’s ‘MCA’ (Middle Class Abbayi) for a very reasonable price. He also promised to sell the overseas rights of his future productions also to the same distributor.
Shame Shame Allu Arjun!
