Shahid Kapoor who is playing the lead role in upcoming Hindi movie Kabir Singh, the remake of Telugu blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy, has shared the first pic from the set.
After flaunting his bearded look for a long time, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has yet again gone clean-shaven for Kabir Singh, which is being helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Shahid Kapoor took to his Instagram to share his latest pic from the set where he is seen wearing headphones, looking freshly shaved. He is looking intently at a mirror. He captioned it, “On set. #kabirsingh” This is the first pic of Shahid Kapoor from Kabir Singh.
Shahid Kapoor has been growing a beard for the last few months reportedly for his role in Arjun Reddy remake.
In its original movie Arjun Reddy, Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey played the lead role in the direction of Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Arjun Reddy is all about the story of a brilliant but deeply flawed medical student who falls in love with a fellow student but later he separated from her. The split causes him to get sucked into an abyss of the drugs and alcoholism. Now once again Sandeep Reddy Vanga is helming its Hindi version.
A T-Series and Cine1 Studios production Venture, Kabir Singh will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi and Mussoorie. Shahid Kapoor will be seen donning 4 different looks in the film.
Recently during the media interaction, Shahid Kapoor said, “I usually don’t watch too many films in Telugu but when I watched Arjun Reddy, I was surprised with its tonality, rawness, simplicity and the fact that it was so real and believable.”
Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu , which was bombed at the box office. Apart from Kabir Singh, the actor will also be seen in upcoming movie- a biopic on Indian boxer, Dingko Singh. His decision to act in Indian boxer came up for criticism when the film was announced.
