Nitesh Narayan Rane- an Politician, youth leader and Congress Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Sindhudurg, is the younger son of former chief minister and senior politician Narayan Rane. Nitesh Rane has produced few movies like Duniyadaari and recently he built a cinema Hall in Sindhdurg which is made up of containers. On the occasion Bollywood star Sonu Sood wished Nitesh Rane and wrote on the wall of twitter, “Best wishes to starlight cinemas Devgad Sindhdurg , first cinema in India in a container .. my best wishes @niteshnrane.” Nitesh Rane replied, “Thanks a lot for your wishes.”
Nitesh Rane studied in United Kingdom along with his elder brother Nilesh. And after coming back to India, he joined politics and helped his father when his father decided to quit Shiv Sena in 2005 and joined Congress.
Nitesh Rane also entered the Marathi film industry. In 2012 he started an initiative called “Maharashtra Kalanidhi” (MKN) along with Anant Panshikar in order to help Marathi theatre and to get audience to Marathi cinema. Nitesh Rane also launched Sindhudurg Tour Guide, a training program to provide employment and self-employment to local youth in tourism industry in the Sindhudurg district.
Sonu Sood is well known face for Telugu audiences as he has been the part of several Telugu movies-Hands Up!, Super, Athadu, Ek Niranjan, Theenmaar, Dookudu, Julai, Abhinetri, Arundhati etc. On the work-side, Sonu Sood will be next seen in Krish’s directorial venture Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi starring Kangana Ranaut. Sonu Sood is essaying the role of Sadashiv in this upcoming film, based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi.
