Huma Qureshi is good as Zareena. Easwari Rao as Kaala’s wife, Selvi is good and Anjali Patil as Puyal, the girlfriend of one of Kaala’s sons performs well. Rest of the cast performed accordingly.
Technical: The storyline of Kaala is simple and is all about slums of India. Background music by Santhosh Narayanan is average. Cinematography by Murali G is excellent and entertaining. Editing by Sreekar Prasad is good. Dialogues are superb. The art director has done fabulous job. Fights are effective. Production values are good.
Analysis: Overall Kaala is an average movie. For Rajinikanth movie, everyone want to see him in certain way but Kaala disappointed them. The slow narration and seriousness of the movie spoil the tempo of movie. Kaala will be liked by them who are hard core fan of Rajinikanth.
