Kathi Mahesh, the actor and film critic has condemned the ban on Hindu spiritual leader and head of the Kakinada Sri Peetham, seer Swamy Paripoornananda. According to Kathi Mahesh, putting a ban on Paripoornanda Swamy is not the solution of problem.
Kathi Mahesh took to his twitter and said, “I am condemning the ban on seer Swamy Paripoornananda. Such types of things are non constitutional in the current times. Banning persons will not give solutions for the any problems and if government realizes that, it will be good.”
We have already reported that spiritual leader Swamy Paripoornananda, who was placed under house arrest in Hyderabad ahead of his proposed ‘Dharmagraha Yatra,’ (padayatra) was banned from the city of Hyderabad for six months under Telangana Prevention of Anti-Social and Hazardous Activities Act1980, for allegedly making provocative statements.
The Police said, “We sent a showcause notice to the Swami Paripoornananda on 9th July, asking him as to why shouldn’t he be removed from the city limits for a period of six months. However, the seer refused to acknowledge the notice.”
On 9th July, Swami Paripoornananda was put under house arrest at a house owned by a real estate firm in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad ahead of his ‘Dharmagraha Yatra’, in protest against the recent statements and campaigns in social and electronic media against Hindu deities.
Recently Swami Paripoornananda had also demanded the arrest of Kathi Mahesh over his alleged statements against Lord Rama and Saita and said, he hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
On 9th July, Monday, the police had externed Kathi Mahesh for certain comments that allegedly hurt the sentiments of Hindus. The Hyderabad Police has ordered Kathi Mahesh to leave Hyderabad City.
His comment on Lord Rama and Sita sparked controversy with several Hindu activists and the number of complaints were registered against Kathi Mahesh.
