Telangana Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) fired at the TSRTC staff after a pirated copy of Natural Star Nani, Anupama Parameswaran and Rukshar Mir starrer Krishnarjuna Yuddham (KAY) was reportedly played on a Garuda Volvo bus. He sought strict action against the people involved.
Merlapaka Gandhi’s directorial venture was released in the theatres on 12th April and opened to mixed response. But the full movie was allegedly leaked online for download even before it completed its opening day in cinema halls. And for the travellers on the Bangalore-Hyd service of Telangana RTC’s Volvo bus, the free show of Krishnarjuna Yuddham is screened. The news came out with a netizen took the snapshot and questioned IT Minister of Telangana state KTR on twitter.
KTR, who is quite active on social media sites, tweeted, “That’s extremely irresponsible on the part of the @TSRTCHQ staff of this bus. Request JMD of @TSRTCHQ to make sure to act and prevent recurrence.”
The piracy issue is said to have incurred losses to the producers and distributors.
