Actress Laya made her debut as child actor with Bhadram Koduko in 1992. Later, she started as an actress with Telugu film Swayamvaram in 1999 along with another popular actor, Venu in 1999. The actress has been the part of several Telugu movies like Swarabhishekam, Vijayendra Varma, Missamma etc. After getting married an NRI-Dr. Ganesh, the actress had settled in USA. She is still residing in US with husband and her daughter. Now she is making her comeback in Telugu Film Industry.
According to the latest update, she has been roped in an upcoming movie ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ in which Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is playing the lead role. Laya will be seen playing important role. Interestingly, Laya’s daughter Shloka is also making debut as child artiste in this.
According to reliable sources, the film’s shoot commenced in America recently where the entire team will shoot a major portion. Ravi Teja will be seen as a decent guy in one of the three different roles in the film which has Anu Emmanuel as the leading lady. The project is being helmed by Srinu Vaitla and bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Mohan Cherukuri under the banner Mythri Movie Makers. S Thaman is on the board to render the tune.
