The horrific videos emerged on Social media on Monday of several college students waving dangerous weapons on a moving train. The videos show young students wearing a college tag riding on the foot board of a train carrying sickles and swords and waving them at the passengers as it passes through Nemilichery station, in Chennai. They can also be heard abusing in the video as well. The students posted the video on social media with the caption "This is how we are, this is how we will be".
Three set of videos shot recently on a moving train had gone viral on social media. A link to a Facebook page was discovered which belonged to a person named Bharathiraja. He apparently posted three videos out of which two were edited. One of the video showed students of Pachaiyappa's College, climbing over buses and performing stunts on running trains. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) carried out raids at stations on the Chennai-Arakkonam line, arresting 17 students and handing them over to the Government Railway Police.
The police state that this was a case of route rivalry between two colleges. The college management has also been informed of the issue and the college as well is expected to take action against the erring students. The search for other students is also going on. Meanwhile, another video came up with the same students in it, apologizing for their shameful acts.
