Mahanati Collections: Mahanati is a biopic of South Indian legendary actress Savitri, helmed by Nag Ashiwn of Yevade Subramanyam fame, which was released on 9th May 2018 in a very grand manner whereas it’s Tamil version, titled as Nadigaiyar Thilagam was released on 11th May 2018. According to the traders report, Mahanati has completed its run at the box office and it has earned Rs 42.65 Cr at Worldwide box office.

Keerthy Suresh who made her Telugu debut with Ram Pothineni starrer Nenu Sailaja essayed the role of Savitri whereas Malayalm star Dulquer Salmaan made his screen presence as Gemini Ganesan, the husband of Savitri, in this movie Mahanati.
Mahanati tells the story of Savitri, one of the most loved and biggest actresses of to emerge from South Indian cinema. Her life was full of enviable highs heart-wrenching lows. The makers tried to tell Savitri story in a non-fictional manner, recreating the era of the early 80s and taking people back in time in Mahanati.
Apart from the lead pair, Mahanati has other stars like Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Devarakonda, Naga Chaitanya, Shalini Pandey, Krish, Rajendra Prasad, Tulasi, Sai Madhav Burra, Srinivas Avasarala, Bhanupriya, Malavika Nair, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Prakash Raj, Naresh and others in supporting roles.
