Mahanati starring Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan and Samantha Akkineni has turned out blockbuster at the box office. Mahanati is a biopic of legendary actress Savitri, directed by Nag Ashwin, in which Keerthy Suresh is essaying the role of Mahanati Savitri whereas Dulquer Salmaan is playing Gemini Ganesan. We have already reported the Gemini Ganesan had 7 daughters. Bollywood actress Rekha is one of them.
Today Dulquer Salmaan shared deleted scene (Gemini Ganesan and Rekha Scene) from Mahanati. The actor took to social media to share the most crucial deleted scene from Mahanati. Dulquer Salmaan captioned it, “Here’s a super interesting scene that didn’t make the final cut from #Mahanati. Gemini with his 3 wives and kids in one space. Pushpavalli garu and and her daughter, a young Rekha Ji make an appearance ! Enjoyyy !”
Coming on the video, Mahanati Savitri’s daughter Vijaya comes to her house and says to her mother about another girl whose name is Rekha, who claimed, she is the daughter of Gemini Ganesan. Savitri says to Vijaya that Rekha is also the part of her family. Later Savitri invites Pushpavalli at her home. Pushpavalli along with her daughter Rekha come to Savitri’s house where Alamelu is also present with her daughters. The video ends when Rekha hugs her father Gemini Ganesan.
Gemini Ganesan had two daughters with Pushpavalli- Rekha, and Radha. The role of Pushpavalli in Mahanati is played by Bindu Chandramouli. The actress was very upset as her scenes from Mahanati was chopped out before the release. Earlier Bindu Chandramouli wrote on the wall of facebook, “It’s very disappointing to have known that the makers have decided to cut out the whatever little it is, the character of Pushpavalli (after dubbing) and also appearance of the character of her young daughter Rekha.”
On the otherside, Dulquer Salmaan is waiting for the release of her Bollywood debut movie, Karwaan in which Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar are playing the lead roles. Apart from Bollywood movie, Dulquer Salmaan will also be seen in Tamil movie Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaa.
