Mehbooba Collections : Mehbooba starring Akash Puri and Mangalore based Neha Shetty, has completed its run at the box office and according to the latest update, the action and romantic entertainer has earned Rs 2.6 Cr shares at the Worldwide box office.

Mehbooba is helmed by Akash Puri’s father Puri Jagannadh and produced under the banner of Puri Connects. The film has the music by Sandeep Chowta. It is an intense love story set against the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Mehbooba marks the debut of Akash Puri, was released on 11th May 2018.
After helming several hit movies like ‘Pokiri’ and ‘Temper’, Puri Jagannadh delivered a string of flops movies including ‘Loafer,’ Ism’, ‘Rogue’ and ‘Paisa Vasool’. Unfortunately Mehbooba also failed to live up to audience expectations. The movie could not register cash at the Box Office. On its opening day, it received mixed response by the movie lovers and critics.
After the release of Mehbooba, Puri Jagannadh has announced that his next film will be with his son Aakash Puri in the lead role again. The title of next film has not been finalized. The team is currently working on the casting of the film. Reportedly, the film will be produced by Puri Jagannadh himself under the banner of Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies. According to the latest buzz, director will soon head to the USA on a search for locations. The regular shoot of the movie is expected to commence very soon.
