Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Anu Emmanuel starrer Naa Peru Surya, was released yesterday on 4th May and received mixed response from the audience. Arjun Sarja, Sarath Kumar and Thakur Anup Singh played the pivotal roles. The action drama with a military backdrop created a lot of expectations among the audience before the release.
The film critics are impressed with Allu Arjun’s performance and movie’s rich production values but they are disappointed with director Vakkantham Vamsi’s flawed script.
Naa Peru Surya is an action thriller, in which Allu Arjun played the role of army officer Surya, who has serious anger management issue. Vakkantham Vamsi tried to bring out a good story that underlines the fact that internal enemies are more harmful to India than external. The director became successful to keep the audience engaged in the first half. But he falters in the execution of the story in the second half, which is preachy and boring.
Anu Emmanuel, who plays the female lead, is nothing more than a pretty prop. The plus point of the movie is presence of Allu Arjun.
Naa Peru Surya marks the debut of Vakkantham Vamsi i as a director. Vamsi has previously written stories for successful movies like Kick, Race Gurram and Temper.
