Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni are working together once again for an upcoming untitled movie, which is being helmed by Shiva Nirvana of Ninnu Kori fame. After Ye Maya Chesave, Autonagar Surya, and Manam, this is the fourth time, both the actors teamed up for a movie. This upcoming romantic and family entertainer movie is also important because after their wedding, this is the first time, when both Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya have collaborated. Recently in an interview, Naga Chaitanya opened up about this film, which is tentatively titled Majili and said, “We are taking a realistic approach to tell the story and there is no sugar coating in the film.”
Naga Chaitanya also said, “The upcoming film is going to be a mature love story, which explore the different stages of marriage. Samantha is playing my wife. No one is going to believe us if we play roles where we just fall in love like what we played in Ye Maya Chesave.” He concluded it by saying that it is a pleasant experience to play husband-wife on screen, it is also quite different and interesting to play a troubled couple. I am loving the way Shiva Nirvana is handling the story.”
The major part of the shoot of Majili will take place in Hyderabad. Naga Chaitanya starrer Savyasachi has finally hit the theaters on 2nd November and received mixed response from everywhere. The film also stars Madhavan and Bhumika, whereas Bollywood actress Nidhhi Agerwal is paired with Naga Chaitanya. The movie is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
Samantha Akkineni was last seen in Pawan Kumar’s directorial venture U Turn which was a woman-centric drama. It is remake of Kannada movie of same title in which Shraddha Srinath played the female lead. Samantha will be next seen in Nandini Reddy’s directorial venture.
