NOTA makers demands Rs 30 Cr for Vijay Deverakonda

NOTA makers demands Rs 30 Cr for Vijay DeverakondaVijay Deverakonda, the latest sensation of Tollywood, is making his Tamil debut with upcoming Political drama NOTA, which is progressing at brisk pace.  The makers are planning to release the film in the month of October in both Tamil and Telugu languages. According to the latest update, the makers of NOTA are quoting Rs 30 Cr for its Telugu theatrical Rights.  Though few distributors came forward and ready to pay Rs 20-25 Cr but the makers are not ready to sell for that price.  Few have also backed out without closing the deal.

The film NOTA is reportedly a political thriller. Recently the makers released the teaser of NOTA, which revived the decent response. A Tamil-Telugu bilingual directed by Irumugan fame Anand Shankar,  the teaser shows shows the transition of Arjun Reddy and Pelli Choopulu fame Vijay Deverakonda  from being a carefree youth into a mass political leader.

 Vijay Deverakonda has also dubbed for himself in Tamil for his character. Mehreen Kaur Pirzada is on the board to play the female lead and Chennai’s supermodel Sanchana Natarajan will be seen in crucial role. While the actress has appeared in a few movies, she made a mark with her performance in Balaji Mohan’s web series As I’m Suffering From Kadhal.  Sathyaraj, Nassar, MS Bhaskar and others are playing supporting roles.

NOTA is being produced by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. The film has the music by  Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and CS Shyam is handling the cinematography.

Vijay Deverakonda is currently basking in the success of his recent film Geetha Govindam, directed by Parasuram and produced by Bunny Vas under the banner of Geetha Arts 2. It is the actor’s second consecutive blockbuster at the box office, following Arjun Reddy.

Currently Vijay Deverakonda is waiting for the release of Taxiwala, in which Malavika Nair, is playing the female lead. He will also be seen in Dear Comrade.
