The controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and Akkineni Nagarjuna teamed up for cop drama Officer.  Nagarjuna plays the role of Police officer in this action and crime thriller, which is turning out disaster at the box office.   Myra Sareen played the female lead in the film,  which has the music by Ravi Shankar.  One of the film’s buyers Subramanyam from Rajamahendravaram interacted with media and opened up he was forced to buy the rights of Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial venture Officer.

Subramanyam said, “The makers of Officer approached me and asked for finance. I gave them Rs 1.3 Cr.  Ram Gopal Varma started the shoot and before the completion of Officer, when I contacted the makers and asked them to return my money, they did not respond. They also asked me to knock the door of court. I thought, if I will go to court, it will take lot of time. So I decided to meet Ram Gopal Varma and asked for Officer rights for the Godavari area in lieu of my amount. But Cleaver director Ram Gopal Varma said to me, he would sell the rights of entire Andhra region not just one area. Though I was not impressed with the trailer and teaser of Officer, I was forced to buy the film.  Officer makers did not leave any option for me so I paid total Rs 3.50 Cr  and bought the right of  Officer for Andhra region.  I thought, it’s Nagarjuna movie so it could make good profits but I was wrong.”

It is known news that Ram Gopal Varma has already announced that his next film will be Akkineni Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil Akkineni. Subramanyam also said, “Ram Gopal Varma  also offered me for Akhil movie if I don’t recover my investments. Finally i have lost my entire investment. Suicide is the only option left for me.”

Today morning Akkineni Nagarjuna took to Twitter and post an interesting message, “Good morning!!it is Monday again and another week is over. These words by Winston Churchill come to my mind “SUCCESS IS NOT FINAL,FAILURE IS NOT FATAL: IT IS THE COURAGE TO CONTINUE THAT COUNTS.” i smile and I move on. Have a great day!!!”  Shameless Ram Gopal Varma responded on this tweet and said, “AMEN!”
