Pawan Kalyan Supports Congress CallPawan Kalyan, the Jana Sena President, has extended his support for Monday’s ‘Bharat Bandh’ call given by the Opposition Congress against the price hike of petrol and diesel. Bharat Bandh Call has been supported by several Parties in various states.

 Pawan Kalyan said, “I and my party members will participate in the Bharat Bandh on Monday as it is concerned to the people.” Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan has asked his supporters to mark peaceful protests to demand  the regulation of rising fuel prices.

 Pawan Kalyan added that Petrol and Diesel should be brought under the ambit of GST. In the national front also, other Opposition parties like DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal), NCP (Nationalist Congress Party), JD(S), have extended their support towards the Bharat Bandh call.The schools and colleges in a few states have been declared a holiday on Monday.

Congress and other parties have called for a nationwide shutdown on Monday i.e 10th September in wake of rising fuel prices. According to the Congress, the shutdown will be observed between 9 am to 3 pm, keeping in mind the any inconvenience for the public and the shutdown will be observed in Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Haryana. Randeep Surjewala , the Congress spokesperson said that the party had decided the timing of band in such a way that the common man was not inconvenienced  due bandh.

On the otherside, the State Government has given the direction to the state government employee that causal leave will not be granted on Monday. Goa Congress unit has also said that they would not participate in Bharat Bandh.  Muslim League in flood-ravaged Kerala has also decided to stay away from Bharat Bandh call.
