Poonam Kaur Lal, the die-hard fan of politician and actor Power Star Pawan Kalyan, recently met Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama and took his blessing on the occasion of her birthday. The actress celebrated her birthday on 21st October. This news is confirmed by Poonam Kaur herself as she shared her few pics with Dalai Lama on her twitter and captioned it, “I couldn’t have asked for more this birthday … received blessings from one n only his holiness the #DalaiLama … man who is responsible for world peace and strongly supports women empowerment , gifted him souvenir of #handlooms n #terracota candles hand made by Telugu women.”
Poonam Kaur also gifted him (Dalai Lama) terracotta candles, which were made by Telugu women.
In 2006, after the completion of her studies, Poonam Kaur signed up for a film to be directed by Teja, which didn’t take off for unknown reason. However, the actress took an offer for another Teja film, Oka Vichitram but before the release of this film, Poonam Kaur was pursuing a lead role in another Telugu film, Mayajalam which released first. She has also been the part of few Telugu movies like Oka `V` Chitram, Souryam, Ganesh Just Ganesh, Aadu Magaadra Bujji, Srinivasa Kalyanam etc.
Poonam Kaur Lal also made her TV debut with Swarna Khadgam. She is playing the role of a queen in the Vijayendra Prasad-story.
On the workside, Poonam Kaur will be seen in Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer upcoming much awaited big budget, multilingual drama Sye Raa Narasihma Reddy, which is being directed by Surender Reddy and is being bankrolled by Ram Charan under the banner of Konidela Entertainment.
