A Bhojpuri producer named Upendrakumar Verma was arrested recently by Mumbai police for allegedly sharing the vulgar clips of an actress from his short film. The video was uploaded on YouTube and it went viral. It has crossed 1000 views. The producer who was absconding from past two months was arrested yesterday at his relative’s salon in Andheri West.
According to Versova police officials, the FIR was registered on 28th January against the producer Verma based on the complaint by the actress. Upendrakumar Verma had contacted the actress for a role in his film which was shot in three days in his Versova office. Few days after the incident, the friends of actress told about the clip going viral. After knowing it she requested the producer to delete it but he refused to do it.
The police officer said, “There was a particular scene in the short movie where the actress had to come out of the bathroom in towel. However, accidentally the towel slipped while the camera was recording. Verma promised the actress to delete that particular scene but he did not do so. Later he uploaded it on you tube.”
The clips were later removed when the Mumbai police sought help of the cyber police.
Verma is said to be in police custody till 5th April.
