Purandeswari blessings to Nandamuri SuhasiniNandamuri Suhasini, from the Telugu Cinema-Politico family of former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, is contesting for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) from Kukatpally constituency as part of Mahakutami alliance.  The BJP leader and Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari spoke about supporting Nandamuri Suhasini. She made interesting comments on Nandamuri Hariskrishna’s daughter during her campaigning at Malkajgiri. When the media people asked  Daggubati Purandeswari  about her opinion on Nandamuri Suhasini contesting as TDP MLA candidate, She said, “Even though they belong to different political parties, Nandamuri Suhasini will always have her blessing.”

Daggubati Purandeswari was campaigning for her party’s candidate Ramchander Rao at Malkajgiri.

Nandamuri Suhasini was brought into the poll arena by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The senior BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari, said Nandamuri Suhasini draws inspiration from her late grandfather and TDP founder NT Rama Rao, uncle Chandrababu Naidu and her late father to serve people, but was evasive if her actor-brothers – Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Jr NTR – would canvass for her in Kukatpally constituency from where she would contest.

Nandamuri Suhasini said, “TDP (Telugu Desam Party) is a people’s party. I want to serve the people and need all your cooperation in getting elected and working hard for the people.”

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has announced Nandamuri Suhasini candidature from the Kukatpally constituency in Hyderabad, Telangana for 7th December Legislative Assembly elections. TDP candidate M Krishna Rao won the Kukatpally seat in 2014 but later defected to the ruling TRS (Telangana Rastra Samithi).

Nandamuri Suhasini is self-employed and is a greenhorn in politics. In the Nandamuri family, Daggubati Purandeswari, now in the BJP (Bharitya Janatha Party), once served as a Union cabinet minister in the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government. The TDP has got 14 seats as part of Mahakutami (Congress, TDP, CPI & TJS) understanding for the 119 member Legislative Assembly.

Nandamuri Suhasini is the wife of Ch Srikanth, who is the son of former TDP MP Chundru Srihari.
