Ramya Krishna is on the board to play the role of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in upcoming web Series Queen, which is being directed by Gautham Menon. Apart from her Queen also has Anika Surendran and Indrajith Sukumaran.
The teaser of Gautham Menon’s web series Queen starring Raya Krishna has been out on Sunday. It is co-directed by Prasath Murugesan of Kidari fame.
The Queen teaser did not sow the face of Ramya Krishna who is playing the titular role but it begins with a young Jayalalithaa on the stage, receiving applause as a student. Lastly, the Queen teaser features a young lady dressed in white sari with the ADMK tricolour border, and delivering public speeches.
The first season of Queen Web Series will have 11 episodes, and is all set to premiere on MX Player. The makers have already revealed that based on the reception of the first season, the consecutive seasons will be planned. In the past, many Tamil web series were criticised for the below par production values but Gautham Menon has said that he has already informed to his producers that he will not compromise with the quality. Gautham Menon also got several unknown stories on late CM Jayalalithaa through her close friends and associates.

The trailer of Queen will be released on 5th December . Interestingly, the director AL Vijay is already making a biopic on Jayalalithaa, which is titled Thalaivi, in which Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is playing the lead role and will make her screen presence as J Jayalalithaa. A Priyadaarshini, a former assistant of Mysskin, is directing Nithya Menen in another Jayalalithaa biopic, which is titled as Iron Lady.
Apart from this web series Queen, Ramya Krishna is also the part of upcoming Telugu film Romantic starring Aakash Puri.
