Besides this story of Abhi and Megha, there is also another story of young rebel leader Vishwa (Arya), who champions for the cause of his community. The government has put a huge task on his shoulders. Will Vishwa complete the task? How he is linked with the love story of Abhi and Megha. To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.
Plus Points:
- Rana Daggubati’s voiceover
- Nirup Bhandari’s performance
- Story
- Cinematography
Minus Points:
- Unwanted characters in the second half
- Lack of comedy
Performance: Nirup Bhandari impresses the viewers with his energetic performance, facial expressions and amazing dance moves. The presence of Arya is one of the major assets. Rana Daggubati’s voice over for Bus is yet another plus point for the film. Avantika Shetty looks good. Both Nirup Bhandari and Avantika being newcomers are natural in their performances. Vinaya Prasad and Ravishankar perform well.
Technical: Anup Bhadari came up with interesting storyline but he failed in his execution. The Cinematography work by William David is superb as he captured a few natural locations in the interiors well. Editing is good. Music by Anup Bhandari is impressive. The art direction is top notch. Production values are rich.
Analysis: Overall Rajaratham is an interesting romantic entertainer. Rajaratham runs like a musical in most parts. Abhi is a musician and the music help blossom his equation with Megha. The journey gives them many situations to bond, they are troubled by not-so friendly co-passengers, are confronted by goons, are lost in a forest, get to share their past and also rescue a life. The movie carries good social message but flat narration makes things difficult for the audience.
