Rana Daggubati: You've left but your spirit holds usYesterday, on the occasion of his grandfather Ramanaidu Daggubati’s death anniversary, Rana Daggubati took to his Instagram to share a heartfelt message, ” You’ve left but your spirit holds us stronger and stronger everyday!! MISS YOU Tatha #RamaNaiduDaggubati.”

Rana Daggubati also shared his childhood picture in which he is held by his grandfather Ramanaidu Daggubati’s along with his younger brother Abhiram Daggubati. Baahubali star remembered his grandfather with this adorable picture and also wrote the heartfelt message. Rana’s fans also paid tribute to the legendary producer.

Rana Daggubati lost his grandfather Ramanaidu Daggubati four years ago. He was passed away on 18 February 2015.

Ramanaidu Daggubati was crowned as the Moghul of Indian cinema for his contribution to the film world. He was one of India’s top producers and has bankrolled films in multiple languages including Bollywood. He has worked with the likes of NTR, ANR, Megastar Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh Daggubati, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Jeetendra, Rajesh Khanna and many others.

Daggubati family runs a studio in his name in Hyderabad and Vizag which also has a film school.

 On several occasions, Rana Daggubati has talked about his grand father and has said, “My grandfather taught me the value of discipline and punctuality. He was a methodical man and he stuck to the same schedule with clockwork precision all his life.”

On the work front, Rana Daggubati will be next seen in NTR Mahanayakudu starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Vidya Balan, which is arriving at the theaters on 22nd February. He will also be seen in trilingual drama  Haathi Mere Saathi.

According to reports, Rana Daggubati will also make a cameo in Anushka Shetty and Madhavan starrer Silence. Recently, there were rumors doing the rounds that the role was previously offered to Young Rebel star Prabhas, who is currently busy shooting for  Sujeeth Reddy’s Saaho.
