Aatadukundam Raa Movie review :

Actor Sushanth starrer “Aatadukundham Raa”  has hit the theaters today. It  is the fifth movie for Sushanth. He had earlier acted in Kalidasu, Current, Adda and Dongata but only Current and Adda had received good reviews. Now he needs a hit movie. The main attraction of the movie ‘Aatadukundham Raa’  is guest appearances of Akkineni Akhil and Naga Chaitanya. It is directed by G Nageshwar Reddy and produced by Naga Susheela, mother of Sushanth under Sri Nag Creations. Let’s see the storyline of the movie.

Story:  Vijay Ram (Murali Sharma) and Anand Rao (Anand) are very close friends and they have various business ventures. One day, Vijay Ram  brakes up his friendship with Anand due to misunderstanding that  Anand cheated him. After 26 years, Karthik (Sushanth), who is an NRI and  the nephew of Vijay Ram, comes to India to solve the problems faced by Vijay Ram and his family. While doing this, he falls in the love of Vijay Ram’s daughter Shurthi (Sonam Bajwa). On the other side, Karthik has also a dark secret and he came to India on a secret mission. Who is Karthik? What is the secret mission of Karthik? How will he solve all the problems? Form the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

  • Sushanth
  • Music

Minus Points:

  • Story Line
  • Screenplay
  • Second Half
  • Editing

Performance: Actor Sushanth has done justification with his role but he needs to improve his expressions and body languages. He looks  handsome in various scenes and  impresses movie lovers with his action, dance and comic timing. Actress Sonam Bhajwa looks gorgeous and did justice to her role. Murali Sharma performed well and Anand is just ok. Thirty years Prudhvi steals the show by his comic act. Raghu Babu, Sudha, Rama Prabha, Harish Koyalagundla, Brahmanandam and Vennela Kishore performed well.

Technical: The storyline of the movie is simple and predictable. The dialogues are ok. The music scored by Anoop Rubens, is good.  Few songs act as speed breaker that spoils the entertainment level. Cinematography work is good. Editing by Gautham Raju, is below par. He can chop few dragged scenes to make the movie better. The production value is good. Director became fail to deliver good movie to the audiences because of weak screenplay.

Analysis: The  few comedy scenes in the first half of the movie are ok but the second half starts with illogical scenes. The presence of Akkineni brother Akhil and Naga Chaitanya can also not save the movie. Overall the movie is a wasted effort by the actor Sushanth. It seems that director lost interest by the time movie reached to the second half.
