EditorBrahmotsavam Movie Review :
Srikanth Addala’s directorial venture Brahmotsavam starring Superstar Mahes Babu, Kajal Aggarwal and Pranitha Subhas, has hit the theaters today in a very grand manner. The movie is receiving mixed responses from the audiences. It is a family entertainer drama and all about how small a celebration turns into Brahmotsavam. After delivering ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, it is the second time when Mahesh Babu teamed up with Srikanth Addala for this family entertainer drama. Let’s see the story line of the movie.
Story: Sathyaraj, the father of Mahesh Babu, is a very rich guy and owner of a paint company of four hundred Crores. He started his company with four thundered rupees which was given by Rao Ramesh’s father. Sathyaraj who believes in family values always tries to keep his family happy and in close bonding. On the other side, Rao Ramesh is not happy with Sathyaraj and he decided to get his daughter (Pranitha) married to Sathyaraj’s son Mahesh Babu. They goes on a family tour where Rao Ramesh find out that Mahesh Babu is in the love of Kajal and he leaves the tour without informing anyone. Later he burst out on Sathyaraj. A twist arises in the story that disrupts the entire family. How Maheh Babu will solve all the problems and unite the family, form rest of the story.

- Production Value
- Slow narration in second half
Performance: Mahesh Babu steals the show by his wonderful performance. Srikanth Addala studied the personality and body languages of Mahesh Babu well and presented his extremely well in Brahmotsavam. He has given outstanding performance in emotional episode. He is not only best in acting and expressions, his way of dialogue delivery adds up the emotion in the scenes. Mahesh Babu oozes charms and he was also best in the emotional scenes. He is the pillar of the movie. Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal are looking beautiful and shared great chemistry with Mahesh Babu. Sathyaraj did fantastic job. The scenes that featured Sathyaraj and a small girl Akshara has come out emotionally well. Thanikella Bharani, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Jayasudha and Revathi have done what are required for the roles. Pranitha Subash, Rohini Hattangadi, Naresh, Shayaji Shinde and others have done justification with their roles. Vennela Kishore does a good job and became successful to brings good laughs in the second half.
Technical: Once again Srikanth Addala targeted family audiences. He became successful to balance the storyline and commercial image of Mahesh Babu that gives a rightly blended and engaging movie. Addala has done justification with the characters of the movie. The screenplay of the movie is well written. The dialogues are superb that adds impact to the scenes and will induce the audiences. The first half of the movie is superb and entertainer but the level of entertainment goes gown as the movie proceeds towards the end. The screenplay is let down. The music department is handled by Micky J Meyer which received lot of applause but as the five songs are in the first half of the movie, it tested the patience of the audiences and disappointed them. Gopi sunder has done fantastic job with its background music. The visual of the movie is superb. Editing by Kotagirj Venkateswararao is good but he can chop few dragged scenes to make the movie to make it better and more entertainer. The Production value is rich. Overall the editing is good. Rich frames are the striking feature of the movie. Appreciation should go to the cinematographer R. Rathnavelu. He has distinct style in the movie actor elevating scenes.
Analysis: Overall the movie is good and family entertainer. The major highlights of the movie are story-line, performance of Mahesh Babu, charms of Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal, good emotions, interval, climax part and direction. On the flip side, there are five songs in the first half of the movie that disappointed the audiences. Songs are picturaised well. The first half of the movie deals with breaking of family that will fill tears in the eyes of the audiences. The narration of the movie is slow in the second half. Overall Bramhotsavam impresses the audiences and it will add more feather in Mahesh Babu’s cap.
