After delivering sensational hit ‘Peelichoopulu’, actor Vijay Deverakonda is coming up with interesting movie ‘Dwaraka’, directed by Srinivasa Ravindra, which has hit the theaters today on 3rd March 2017. Let’s see the story line:
Story: Srinivas (Vijay Deverakonda) is a small time thief who cons the people along with his two friends. One day, when he was trying to escape from a failed robbery, enters in a apartment named Dwaraka. Next morning when he wakes up, he gets a shock as Prudhviraj, who plays a pujari, claims that Srivinas is a person, sent by god. A rich real estate builder and many others in the apartment start believing him as a baba possessing special healing power and named him Swami Krishnananda. Meanwhile a girl Vasudha (Pooja Jhaveri) he chances upon during his thieving days returns to worship him. He decides to get into marital life with Vasudha and trying to clean his godman image but Prudhvi, lawyer (Prabhakar) and others want him to continue the profitable drama. Soon CM ( Prakash Raj) gets involved and the story gets complicated. How does Srinivas come out of his Swami act? Form rest of the story.
Performance: Once again Vijay Deverakonda delivers his fantastic performance. He shines in the role of thief turned fake swami turned social do-gooder and also as a lover boy. Pooja Jhaveri tries to deliver her best and becomes successful to grab the attention of viewers by her glamour. Prabhakar, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma?, Prudhvi Raj and Raghu Babu and others justify with their roles.
Technical: Director Srinivasa Ravindra comes up with a refreshing treatment for a clean romantic and comedy entertainer. Screenplay of the movie is excellent. The cinematography work is good. Shyam K Naidu has put his experiences to bring out the best output. The editor Prawin Pudi has done decent job and the editing is smooth. The music scored by Sai Karthik is ok and it elevates the movie properly. The picturaization of all four songs are lovely. The background score work pretty well. The music doesn’t interrupt the flow, it rather creates a space for the narrative to move forward. Though the movie is made on a limited budget but the budgetary limitations does not show up in the final product.
Analysis: Overall Dwaraka is a watchable entertainer movie. Srinivasa Ravindra is one of the director who impresses the audiences with his ability to hold the attention of audiences throughout the movie. Vijay Deverakonda’s performance definitely brings a crowd to the theaters. Overall Dwarka is an engaging and hilarious movie.
