Nagaram starring Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to hit the theaters on 10th March. It is dubbed version of Tamil thriller movie Maanagaram. Today, the makers organized a special show in Hyderabad. Let’s see the story line:
Story: The movie deals with the different perspectives of people (Sundeep Kishan, Shri, Munishkanth and Charlie) living in today’s moving urban life. A youngster (Shri) came to Chennai with lot of dream to take the job in IT firm. Another youngster (Sundeep Kishan) who leads carefree life, can go to any extreme for the safety of his love (Regina Cassandra). There is a soft spoken taxi driver (Charlie) who came to city so that he can give better medical treatment to his son. How the lives of these four characters get linked through a kidnap, form rest of the story.
Performance: All the characters have given their best performance. Sundeep Kishan pulled off the role effortlessly. Shri came up with fantastic performance. His expression and body language are appreciable. Once again, Charlie delivers superb performance after Yaman. Regina handles her character well but she did not get much screen space to prove her skills. All the actors in the movie have done full justice to their respective roles.
Technical: The cinematography work by Selvakumar is one of the major highlight of the movie, he captured the visual of Chennai and its interiors in splendid manner. The music and songs are okay. Production value is good. The dialogues are ok but did not leave any good impact. The stunt Choreography by Anbariv looks realistic. The screenplay is good but it took much time to establish the character. The editing is not up to the mark. After chopping few dragged scenes, the entertainment level could be better. The major drawback of the movie is its run time. Such type of movie requires crisp run time and the director has become fail here.
Analysis: Overall Nagaram is an average entertainer movie and the director has done superb job with its narration. The way Lokesh, combined the four stories into one, in a very interesting manner, is awesome and he becomes successful to bring out the talent of star casts. Gripping and brilliant screen play engaged the audiences till end. The major drawback of the movie is lack of entertainer level and its run time. It is good for them who love to watch crime thriller.
