Nirmala Convent Movie Review :

The story of "Nirmala Convent" takes place in a small and beautiful village Bhupathinagaram.   Raju is the king of village and owner of 99 acre land and willing to grab the 1 acre land of small farmer Veerayya (LB Sriram).  Veerayya refuses to sell his one acre and was killed.  Later his son (David) took the responsibility of the land . David’s son Samuel (Roshan) is a bright student and studying in the college named Nirmala Convent along Raju’s grand daughter  Shriya . Both falls in love  with each other  but  it is indigestible to Shriya father Bhupati Raju (Aditya Menon) .   David asked Bhupati Raja to allow for their marriage and Bhupati asks for the one acre. What will happen next? Will Samuel win his love? To get these answers, one  should watch the movie on silver screen.

Plus points:

  • Performance of Roshan
  • Nagarjuna’s cameo
  • Presence of Shriya
  • Music
  • Cinematography

Minus Points:

  • Routine story
  • Screenplay
  • Low Comedy

As it is the  first movie of Roshan, he delivered his best. Roshan perfectly fits in the role and acted brilliantly. If he continues to choose films with care, he will indeed have a promising career.   Shriya Sharam, who has acted as child artist in various movies, steals the show by her cute look and performance. She has proved that she is not just an eye candy and is an outstanding performer too. The chemistry between them is nice. Presence of Nagarjuna is one of the major highlight of the movie.

The cinematography by Visweswar and music of Roshan Saluri are the major assets from technical point of view. The production value by Annapurna Studios is good. There is nothing new in the story line. The artwork and camera give a rich look to the  movie.  Nirmala  Convent has same old routine storyline and director has become fail to pen a convincing script. Editing is not up to the marks. The background score and music deserve appreciations.

Overall Nirmala Convent is a clean entertainer and  mainly a movie for the youth. The chemistry between Roshan and Shirya, beautiful songs and dialogues are highlighted whereas The routine story line and poor narration disappoint the audiences. Roshan  has got great screen space and proved himself.  Nirmala Convent is going to be a good movie in Roshan’s career.
