EditorRayudu Movie Review :
Actor Vishal starter action and family entertainer entertainer drama “Rayudu” has hit the theaters today. It is the dubbing version of Tamil movie ‘Maruthu’ which was released last week and received positive responses. It is directed by 'Komban' fame Muthaiah and produced by J Venkatesh in Tamil and Hari in Telugu. Actress SriDivya is playing the female lead role. Let’s see the story line.
Story: Rayudu (Vishal) is living with his grandmother Annamma (Leela) and close friend Maghadeerudu Kokkarako (Soori) in Anantapur. He has been brought up with good moral values and he is the people who never tolerate any disrespect to women and this credit goes to her grandmother. He is living his life happily. After sudden twits, he meets Rolex Bachi (RK Suresh), who is a powerful thug aspiring politician. When everything seems to be the right lane for Vishal, his future mothers in law (Sri Divya’s mother) get murdered. Now Baghyalakshmi (Sri Divya) files the case against Rolex Bachi with the help of her lawyer Srinivasulu (Marimuthu). The rest of the story deals how Vishal avenges her death.
- Performance of Vishal
- Chemistry between Vihal and Sri Divya
- Slow Screenplay
Performance: Actor Vishal has delivered his best and his performance, way of delivering dialogue and body languages attracted the audiences. Vishal in the role of Rayudu has done fantastic job. His action sequences show his power and agility. Sri Divya performed well in the role of strong village belle. Her performance is good and she became successful to attract the audiences by her expressions. She maintained good chemistry with Vishal, even it is an action entertainer drama. RK Suresh as Rolex Baachi has proved that he is capable to play the role of effective villain. Radha Ravi did not get much screen space to prove performance. Soori steals the show in the role of Maghadeerudu Kokkorokko. Other actors have justified with their roles.
Technical: The movie is based on the village backdrop. Song sequences appear randomly and the music does not linger long. Makers should take care about the music. The violence dominated in the story. Background music is composed by D Imman that elevates movie at places to the next level. But during the action sequences, the background music is too loud. The Cinematography work is handled by R Velraj and he has done nice job. Editing is good but if editor chops few dragged scenes, the movie could be better. Production Value is good and dialogues are superb and well suited.
Analysis: Overall the movie is fully loaded with action sequences. First half of the movie does not have content and only limited to the introduction of characters. Director Muthaiah has done good job but he became fail to handle the screen play. The movie fits well into the template of a Tamil action entertainer. But for Telugu audiences, it might not be suitable. The main drawback of the movie is its songs which are not picturized well. The placement of songs look like speed breaker at regular intervals in the movie. The climax scenes is predictable as Rayudu (Vishal) single-handedly takes on several goons and kills the villain Rolex Pandi (RK Suresh). The violence dominated in the story.
