Sathamanam Bhavathi Review :

On the occasion of Sankranthi, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 and  Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni have been already hit the theaters  and received positive reviews. Young actor Sharwanand  starrer family entertainer ‘Sathamanam Bhavathi’ is the third movie which is releasing  today on 14th January in both Telugu States.  It has been already released in USA two days before the release in India and its premier  received decent response. Let’s see the story line.

Story: Raghavaraju (Prakash Raj)  is living happily  along with  his wife Janakamma (Jayasudha) and grandson Raju (Sharwanand) in a small village named Athreyapuram. But one thing which upsets Raghavaraju is that his son and daughter live in abroad and they never visit to village. To call them back in village, Raghavaraju makes a clever plan and invites them on the occasion of Sankranthi. Twist arises in the story when Raghavraju’s wife finds about this plan and she feels bad. It creates some disturbances within the family and creates a tense situation. What is the plan of Raghavaraju? What went wrong that creates disturbance in the family?  To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

Plus Points:

  • Prakash Raj & Jayasudha
  • Sharwanand & Anupama Parameswaran
  • Music
  • Cinematography
  • Emotional scenes

Minus Points:

  • Predictable screenplay
  • No twist
  • Forced comedy

Performance: Sharwanand   who grabs the opportunity to act in family entertainer movie, shows his other side in this movie, appears as lovable village guy and delivers fantastic performance. He is extremely good in emotional scenes. His chemistry with Anupama Parameswaran is highlighted and both of them justify with their characters. Anuspama’s natural performance deserves applause. The hit pair of Prakash  Raj and Jayasudha carries off their role with ease. We cannot imagine the movie without them.  Naresh as Kanakaraju performs well. Yesteryear actress Indraja made her comeback after a long time and wins the heart by her performance.

Technical: The concept of the movie is  very interesting. Satish Vegesna has handled the story and scenes very well. He fills up most of the scenes with right amount of emotion. The scenes involving Sharwanand, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha are handled exceptionally well. Storyline is predictable but the screenplay is interesting. Dialogues are situational and well written.  All the songs composed by Mickey J Meyer are superb. Background score is good. Cinematography by Sameeer Reddy, is extraordinary. There are certain comedy scenes in the film which look quite forced.  Editing should have been smooth in some scenes.  Production value is rich.

Analysis: Overall Shatamanam Bhavati is a clean entertainer movie  which is loaded with emotion. Satish Vegesna has touched the excellent subject in the movie and made sure that there is something for every class of the audiences. The heart touching content makes the  viewers moist and there is entertainment too. The esthetic visuals, melodies background score, perfect casting make the movie watchable. The audience can enjoy the movie along their family on this festive season.
