Jawaan Movie Review :

After delivering back to back disasters, Sai Dharam Tej is now coming up with action and family entertainer movie Jawaan, directed by BSV Ravi, which  has hit the theaters today. Let’s see the storyline.

Story: Jai (Sai DharamTej) is a sincere youth, who gets attracted to Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) ideology  and starts preparation for DRDO exam but his selection is put on hold due to lack of experience. This is also the time when by chance he finds out that some conspiracy is going on when a person tries to get the fake seal of DRDO.  There is the baddie (Prasanna) who is after a mission and to get hold of a missile, which is being launched by DRDO, he kidnaps the family of Jai and blackmails him.   How does Jai save his country and family along with his lover Bhargavi (Mehreen)? To get this answer, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

Plus Points

  • Sai Dharam Tej
  • Mehreen  Kaur Pirzada
  • Cinematography
  • BGM
  • Message
  • Dialogues
  • Interval bang

Minus Points

  • Songs Placement
  • Editing
  • Second half
  • Climax

Performance: BSV Ravi designed the characterization of Sai Dharam Tej to suit his body language. Sai Dharam Tej is in superb form, especially the ease and energy levels. He is impressive when it action or dance Sequences.   His body language and expressions are appreciable.  Mahreen attracted the audiences with her glamour avatar.  Prasanna  as antagonist is alright. Kota Srinivasarao is nice in his brief role. Satyam Rajesh, Naga Babu  and others performed according to their roles.

Technical:  The storyline of the movie is impressive. The screenplay and narration elevate the proceedings. The dialogues are entertaining. The dialogues in the scene where Sai Dharam Tej utters about nation and responsibilities of citizen are noteworthy. Cinematography by Guhan deserves a special mention. He has done magic in some shots with his lighting. Editing SR Sekhar is decent and could have done away with the drags in the film especially in second half. Stunts and action sequences are choreographed well. Production values are average. Thaman came with foot tapping beats. All the songs are well shot but the placement of songs look like speed breaker at regular intervals in the movie.  He elevated the scenes with his background score.

Analysis: Jawaan has all the elements for a commercial genre and also has emotional scenes that will touch the audiences. The director  tried to arise the patriotism in masses adding commercial elements to his narration  The interval twist in the tale is mind blowing and the audiences can’t wait for the second half to begin. The mind game between the hero and villain is interesting and is added to a good dose of action blocks. The climax disappointed the audiences.
