Editor Review

Young actor Sharwanand who is basking in the glory of successful movie Shatamanam Bhavati, is back with another commercial entertainer movie ‘Radha’ directed by Chandra Mohan, which has hit the theaters today. Let’s see the story line:

Story : Radha Krishna (Sharwanand)  nurtures the dream of becoming the police officer since childhood. He  is the devotee of Lord Krishna.   In his childhood, he was rescued by a police in an incident. He assumes that god has saved him in the form of Police. So he wants to become a police officer. His obsession grows with age and finally he gets appointed as trainee Sub inspector of police. After the training Radha Krishna  gets posting in Zero-crime area in Warangal district where he falls in the love of beautiful Radha (Lavanya Tripathi). Later he gets transferred  to crime ridden zone, Dhoolpet, Hyderabad where  he come across Sujatha (Ravi Kishan) who is a dreaded criminal and plans to become the Chief Minister. Rest of the story is, how Radha manages to stop  politician Sujatha to take the ultimate power.

Plus Points:

  • Sharwanand
  • Lavanya Tripathi’s glamour
  • Comedy

 Minus points:

  • Routine Story

Performance: Sharwanand has delivered his fantastic performance, he pulled off the role effortlessly. The comedy portrayed by Sharwa needs applause. His body languages, way of dialogue delivery, actions and comedy won the heart of audiences.  He is too good with his expressions. Aksha Pardasany is good as Rukmini. Lavanya Tripathi attracts the audiences with her glamour. As usual Ravi Kishan  performs  well in the role of villain. JP Reddy, Saptagiri and Fish Venkat's comedy are the other assets of  Radha. Thanikella Bharani, Pragathi, Kota Sreenivasa Rao   and others have done full justice to their respective roles.

Technical: The storyline of Radha is simple and engaging.  Dialogues are well written with lot of wits. The production value is good.  Radhan’s music is good and soothing the mood. His background is also good which helps the movie to go next level at times.  Editing is ok and could have been much better.  Stunts and action sequences are composed well. Karthik Ghattamneni’s cinematography work is good. There is nothing new in the story line but the director Chandra Mohan who is debuting as director utilizes the skills of Sharwanand and presents him in interesting manner.

Analysis:   Overall Radha is an enjoyable fun ride. The major highlights of the movie are the performance, comic timing, romantic angle and serious avatar of Sharwanand,  glamour of Lavanya Tripathi,  production values, picturisation at beautiful locations, action  & dance choreography and dialogues .  There is a lot of good and interesting stuff that appeal the audiences. All the elements in the movie make it watchable despite routine story line.
