Ramayya Vasthavayya Review :
Synopsis:
Nandu (NTR) is a chilled out guy, who enjoys his college life with his friends. On a
Rainy day, Nandu come across Akarsha (Samantha) and he falls for her, it’s a love at
first sight. Nandu doesn't miss an opportunity to tease Akarsha and after a couple of
misunderstandings, she understands his love towards her. Akarsha's father (Mukesh Rishi)
is brutally murdered and Nadu becomes prime witness in the case. What is Nandu's
connection with his case? Why does Nandu visit Akarsha's place? All these elements form
the rest of Ramayya Vastavayya movie.

Analysis
Ramayya Vastavayya begins with terrific introduction of NTR in Duryodhana get up. It was
a cake walk for the Young Tiger and he utters Sr NTR's Daana Veena Sura Karna's dialogue
(Yemantivi Yemantivi) with ease. The best part of the movie is NTR's body language. He
has excelled in the youthful character and as promised earlier, director Harish Shankar
has portrayed NTR's role in a very different way. Especially, the teasing scenes between
NTR & Samantha were superb. Songs are the major attraction for the film and NTR's dance
movements were amazing. Interval twist was good and the entire sequence was well shot.

Shruti Haasan enters in the second half as Ammulu and most of the times, she will be
seen fighting for the rights of other. Neneppudaina Anukunna song was well choreographed
and both NTR & Shruiti Haasan looked superb in the song, After a youthful first half, Harish
Shankar has changed the genre in the second half into a revenge drama. The scene were
NTR rescues Shruti Haasan from villain Ravi Shankar was good but could have been handled
better. Overall, Ramayya Vastavayya is a gripping revenge drama filled with teasing
scenes between NTR & Samantha and the love episode of NTR & Shruti Haasan.

Technicalities:
SS Thaman is a major asset for Ramayya Vastavayya. All his songs were well choreographed
on the big screen and background score is terrific. Chota K Naidu's cinematography was
superb. Screenplay by Ramesh Reddy & Satish Vegesna could have been better in the second
half. Editing by Goutam Raju was ok. Production values of Sri Venkateswara Creations are
grand.

Performances:
NTR has delivered power packed performance. But what is new? It's his youthful
performance and the image makeover, which will entertain the audience. He has done
everything to entertain the audience. Samantha was good and Shruti Haasan has delivered
her best. She looked beautiful in Neneppudaina Anukunnana song. Ravi Shankar & Rao
Ramesh were good but their roles were limited. Other artists have done their job.

Positives:
NTR & his youthful look
Teasing scenes between NTR & Samantha
Shruti Haasan
Songs & BGM

Negatives:
Predictable second half
Dragged scenes

Bottom Line: Ramayya Vastavyya is a gripping revenge drama filled with entertainment.
It's a feast for Nandamuri fans.
