EditorVeedevadu Movie Review :
Sachiin Joshi’s Veedevadu is an action drama thriller film with an element of suspense. The bilingual film written and directed by Tatineni Satya and it is all about how sports has been mixed into the crime scenario. The film has received ‘U/A’ certificate from the censor boards. Today the movie has hit the theaters. Let’s see the storyline.
Story: Sathya (Sachiin Joshi) is a national level kabaddi player who loves Sruthi (Esha Guptha) very much. Sruthi is the daughter of a respectable person, who is popular in the society for richness. Finally, both Satya and Sruthi tied knot and on his first night Sathya murders his wife’s Sruthi and dumps the dead body in the sea. Why did Satya kill Sruthi? Did Sathya really kill Shruthi? Who is Catherine? What will happen next? To get these answers one should watch the movie on silver screen.
- Meaningless Narration
Performance : Sachiin Joshi played his part sincerely and the hard work put in by him is visible on the screen. He has delivered his fantastic performances. He maintained the required intensity throughout the movie. The film has him playing a role having multiple shades and Sachiin delivered it perfectly. Esha Gupta got very less screen space but she is superb in terms of the performance as well as the glamour. Senior actor Prabhu has justified with his role. Kishore is too good in his role of ACP. Srinivas Reddy, Supreeth Reddy, Harsha vardhan and others performed accordingly.
Technical: The story-line of the film is interesting. The dialogues by Venu Mandepudi were well-written. Viiking Media and Entertainment’s production values’s and background score are the attractions on the technical front. Two songs which come in the first half are good and have been picturized well. Editing by Praveen Pudi is ok. Cinematography work is good and the seriousness and the tense scenes have shown well. There are number of illogical scenes that spoil the entertainment level. Hero playing Kabaddi in the jail looks awkward.
Analysis: Overall Veedevadu is a below average crime thriller drama. Though the story-line line of the movie is good but execution is horrible. Sachiin’s performance is worth mentioning. The dragged scenes at certain places, weak direction, screenplay, few illogical scenes may not appeal to a larger section of the audience.
