Everybody knows that heroines charge extra amount for kissing or wearing a bikini on screen. But what we are going to disclose is a total surprise. In the case of Rangasthalam, it’s the director who got money for the smooch. It is heard that Sukumar got Rs 10 lakh for shooting a lip kiss scene in his style.
Recently Sukumar said, “It’s the scene in my directorial venture Rangasthalam where Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni have to express their love for each other. Samantha has to tell Charan that she is in love with him. At the same time, the police come to take Ram Charan away. Before he is taken, Sam has to tell him. The scene where Samantha was to kiss Cherry’s lips was tried many times and it did not come out well. Though I tried it for two days, I could not capture the mood properly.”
Later the producer threw a challenge and said, he would give me Rs 10 Lakh extra if I get the scene right. After hearing it I I took up the challenge and shot the kissing scene within 30 minutes. The producer gave me Rs 10 Lakh as he promised. The money was shared between Sukumar and his team of writers.
Sukumar added that Ram Charan was not aware of this kissing scene and hence the element of surprise was clearly seen on his face. Only Samantha knows about the lip kiss scene.
