Sanju Trailer – Rajkumar Hirani launched the first trailer of Sanju (the biopic of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt) Wednesday afternoon on Twitter and captioned it, “And the #sanju trailer is here.” Ranbir Kapoor is essaying the role of Sanjay Dutt.
The 3 minute long trailer showcase of various stages of Sanjay Dutt’s life- from his drug addiction to jail time. The trailer starts with the line, “Itna variety wala life aapko kidhar milega?” “Main bewra hoon, tharki hoon, drug addict hoon, saab hoon.. lekin terrorist nahin hoon.” In one of the scene, Sanjay Dutt was asked about a journalist (played by Anushka Sharma) that how many affairs he had in his life. Sanjay Datt said, “350”. Sanju also revealed the he experienced the drugs when he was angry with his father Sunil Dutt (played by Paresh Rawal) and second time, when his mother Nargis Dutt (played by Manisha Koirala) was under medical diagnosis and third time, he became addict.
Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Visky Kaushal are also the part of this film. Recently Rajkumar Hirani shared a pic of Anushka Sharma and tweeted, “And here is my dear friend Anushka. It’s a special appearance….but she worked on every nuance of the role for days together. Can anyone guess who she plays?….Will reveal tomorrow at the trailer launch.”
Rishi Kapoor, the father of Ranbir Kapoor responded on the video and said, “The way Rajkumar Hirani has presented my son Ranbir is the biggest superb thing, the boy has really done well. I am so proud of him. I swear on Neetu and Ranbir, I did not think it was Ranbir, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt not Ranbir . You don’t know how emotionally triggered I am right now at the point where Vinod and Raju have shown me this trailer. The first appearance of Ranbir from the jail, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt.”
The trade Analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “SUPERBBB… Seems like an emotional rollercoaster ride… #SanjuTrailer encapsulates the highs and lows, the sunshine and darkness, the bouquets and brickbats that were part of #Sanju’s life… Trailer only intensifies your curiosity for the film… Link:”
Karan Johar also wrote on the wall of Twitter,” OMG @RajkumarHirani you genius !! And OMGGGG #RanbirKapoor you bonafide ROCKSTAR! What a mindblasting trailer!!!!! This is a major “can’t wait” feeling!!!! … #SanjuTrailer”
Sanju is scheduled to hit the theaters on 29th June 2018.
