India's premier batsman Virat Kohli, won the player of the Tournament award for his terrific and brilliant performance in the ICC World T20, which concluded on Sunday at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It is the successive second time when Kohli won the award as he was also named as the player of the 2014 tournament in Bangladesh following his 319 runs which helped Indian to reach the final. Kohli was not present there so former Indian captain and CAB president Sourav Ganguly collected his award on behalf of Kohli. On this announcement, Kohli reacted that he was very disappointed that they were unable to reach final and win ICC World Twenty 20 title on their home soil but he is proud to be named as player of the tournament. He congratulated to the West Indies men’s and women’s squads for their successes.
