P V Sindhu enters badminton finals

Second time in less than 24 hours, India has been assured an Olympic medal. On Thursday, wrestler Sakshi Malik won a historic bronze medal in women's 58kg freestyle  and became the first wrestler from India to bag Olympic medal and the fourth female athlete from the country to stand at the top of World Sport.


Now The Telugu girl PV Sindhu  creates the  history by becoming the first Indian shuttler to enter the finals as she stuns Nozomi Okuhara in straight games 21-19 21-10 and assured a medal for India. The parents of P V Sindhu are giving  all credit to coach  Gopichand. She will now play two-time World Champion and top seed Carolina Marin of Spain in the final on Friday.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi congrats her as he tweeted,” Superb performance @PvSindhu1. You make India proud! Best of luck for the finals. #Rio2016.”


Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu tweeted,”Brilliant game on display by @Pvsindhu1. Congratulations to her & coach Gopichand on entry into Finals. Proud & best wishes #RioOlympics2016 (sic).”


Telangana Chief Minster KCR  tweeted,”CM Sri K Chandrashekar Rao congratulated shuttler @Pvsindhu1 on entering Olympics Badminton Women’s Singles Finals. (sic)”.


Amitabh Bachchan tweeted,” @SrBachchanT 2352 - #PVSindhu ...aapne 'bolne walon' ki bolti bund kar di .. karm bolta hai aur wo kabhi kabhi 'kalam' ko bhi hara deta hai ! BADHAI !!
