Second time in less than 24 hours, India has been assured an Olympic medal. On Thursday, wrestler Sakshi Malik won a historic bronze medal in women's 58kg freestyle and became the first wrestler from India to bag Olympic medal and the fourth female athlete from the country to stand at the top of World Sport.
Now The Telugu girl PV Sindhu creates the history by becoming the first Indian shuttler to enter the finals as she stuns Nozomi Okuhara in straight games 21-19 21-10 and assured a medal for India. The parents of P V Sindhu are giving all credit to coach Gopichand. She will now play two-time World Champion and top seed Carolina Marin of Spain in the final on Friday.
